5-frame nucleus colony with an established brood nest and laying queen (choose breed preference, quantity range for price breaks & time frame*) for pick up in Sullivan, WI in Spring 2026. This queen has mothered the nuc through 1-2 brood cycles. Contains standard deep (9 1/8") frames.

If you would like your queen(s) marked in the nuc(s), you will need to choose the product "Queen Marking" separately and purchase the quantity that corresponds to the number of nucs in which you want the queens marked.
Sales tax will be added at checkout. If you have a WI Sales Tax Exemption (click here for form WI s-211), wish to receive a cash/check discount, or if you are ordering quantities of 100 or more nucs, please print, complete, and mail the 2026 Price List & Order Form.
Mixed orders (e.g. packages & nucs, multiple breeds, etc.) may require multiple pick ups.
No box or frame exchange--you keep the nuc box.
*Breed preference is not guaranteed, but based on availability.
*Time frames of delivery are approximate and weather-dependent. You will be contacted with pick up date/time/details when nucs are ready for pick up.
*We recommend a pick up truck bed and ratchet straps/tie downs for optimal transport. If picking up in a car or SUV where the nuc(s) will be transported in an enclosed space, we recommend purchasing a mesh laundry bag (small weave) to place the nuc(s) inside of to contain any bees that leak out during transport. You must keep the nuc(s) cool and well-ventilated during transport.
*We do not offer shipping. All nucs are for "pick up only" at our Sullivan, WI location. We do have re-sellers in Northern Illinois/Chicagoland, Central Wisconsin, Eastern Iowa, and the UP of Michigan. Reach out to us for more information.
